Guild

Guild is a platform that manages an education benefit offered to employees on behalf of large employers. Employees can earn employer-sponsored degrees and credentials that advance their careers.

At Guild I integrated Academy (formerly Nomadic) post-acquisition into the larger Guild product suite before shifting to the flagship education benefit product, Grow.

Nomadic (acquired by Guild)

Nomadic is a platform that lets organizations build internal professional developement academies. The learning methodology is centered around collaborative learning, meaning social interaction is encouraged at every level.

I led Nomadic's design efforts to build all parts of the platform, including the learner experience, the AI-powered CMS, as well as analytics and administration tools. Nomadic was acquired by Guild in late 2024.

STEP

STEP is a literacy assessment tool created by University of Chicago researchers. It shows teachers what students know and what will get them to the next “step.” Through intuitive visualizations teachers can explore reading assessment patterns for individuals students, groups, classes, schools or districts.

I partnered with Inquirium on the design and build of of the tool from 0 to 1 and though several more iterations. Later sprints focused on new data displays, online assessments, and tighter integrations with school information systems.

PBS KIDS SuperVision

PBS KIDS Super Vision gives parents a real-time feed of what their kids are playing and learning across several PBS KIDS experiences. It also packs in activity ideas and TV times localized to your station.

Each game and video comes tagged with the types of learning covered. Some give a window into improvement over time. The app also comes with handy functionality like a play-timer that pauses gameplay remotely.
